German Sauerbraten

Metzger's House Specialty Since 1928. Slow roasted choice beef, carefully marinated in wine, vinegar, and spices. Served with a sour cream gravy.

Schnitzel

A tender breaded pork cutlet.

• Served with Jäger sauce: Sautéed fresh peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms & wine.
• Served ála Holstein: With a fried egg.
• Served Zigeuner: With sautéed onions, mushrooms, and green peppers.
• Served with Mushroom Sauce.

The Zigeuner Steak*

A boneless sirloin steak topped with onions, mushrooms and green peppers.

German Bratwurst

A lightly spiced veal sausage smothered in caramelized onions. A favorite in the Black Forest. Served with spätzle and Bavarian red cabbage.

Kassler Rippchen

Grilled smoked pork loin chop. A tradition in Hessen.

German Mettwurst

A smoked pork and beef sausage, a little spicy. Served with spätzle and sauerkraut.

German Knackwurst

A delightful, mild, all beef sausage. Served with spätzle and sauerkraut.

German Meat Pattie

Fresh ground round, melded with onions and spices, then grilled. Served with homemade German gravy.

Sautéed Beef Liver

Sautéed and served with onions, mushrooms or bacon.

Grilled Pork Chop

An 8 oz. chop, chargrilled to perfection.
Choose broiled with Metzger's own honey BBQ sauce.

Fresh Lake Perch

A Metzger's house specialty. Served either lightly breaded and pan sautéed or fried Northern Michigan style.

Fresh Lake Superior Whitefish

Choose pan fried or broiled. Served with fresh lemon & tartar sauce.

Deep Fried Jumbo Shrimp

Served with lemon and cocktail sauce.

Charbroiled Salmon

With lemon and dill or BBQ style.

Chicken Vienna

Chicken breast breaded with ground mustard and lightly pan fried.

Jäger Chicken

Tender boneless breast of chicken, pan fried and topped with provolone cheese and our famous Jäger sauce.

Sandwiches

Sandwiches include choice of one side dish. Choose rye or dark bread unless indicated.

Served with fries. 1/3 lb. of Angus Beef ground round on a bun. Choose your toppings: lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, mayo. Add bacon, mushrooms or cheese for additional cost.

Chargilled Garden Burger

Served with fries. Choose your toppings: tomato, lettuce, onion, mayo. Add mushrooms or cheese for additional cost.

Honey Glazed Chicken Breast Sandwich

With lettuce and mayo. Add Swiss cheese for additional cost.

Cajun Chicken Sandwich

With lettuce, tomato and mayo.

French Dip

Prime rib sliced thin and served on a bun with au jus.

Grilled 3 Cheese Sandwich

Choose one or all: Swiss, American, Provolone. Add tomato for additional cost.

Steak Sandwich*
